Yoga - A Science & an Art
Yoga is breath.
Yoga is movement.
Yoga is intention.
But more than anything, yoga is a sacred inquiry into the present moment—into who we truly are. Yoga is both a science and an art, guiding us to greater self-awareness, expanded consciousness, and access to the inner wisdom we each carry. Some call this enlightenment, self-actualization, or awakening. It is the unfolding of purpose, the deep bliss of being connected to something greater than ourselves, and the realization that peace is found within—not in the external world.
As a yoga educator, I’m honored to live this practice and share its wisdom with others. Yoga becomes real through experience—through what’s felt, breathed, and embodied on and off the mat.
Yoga - A Science & an Art
Holding Sacred Space
One of the most important elements of my teaching is holding sacred space. Whether in a private session or group setting, I intentionally create an atmosphere of safety, reverence, and presence. This is a space where you can show up fully—without judgment or expectation. A space where your breath, your emotions, and your body are honored. Sacred space allows for healing, discovery, and spiritual connection to unfold naturally. It’s not just about doing yoga—it’s about being in truth, in grace, and in alignment with the Spirit that dwells within you.
A Practice for Everyone
Ever looked into a yoga studio and felt intimidated?
So many styles. So many levels. So many unspoken expectations.
My goal is to meet you right where you are and make yoga accessible for everybody, every soul, every season of life. I blend various styles and techniques with intention—creating classes that are intuitive, supportive, and rooted in heart-centered awareness. My focus is never on how the pose looks, but on how deeply you’re breathing and how present you feel.
Styles I Incorporate
Each class is intentionally designed to include:
Pranayama: The Science of Breath
Up-level your breath and you up-level your life. Breathwork is a profound yogic science. When you change your breath, you change your nervous system, your physiology, and your mindset.
Through breath, we regulate our energy, release what no longer serves us, and come home to the presence of God within.
Here are my top favorite pranayama techniques and their benefits:
Sitali (Cooling Breath)
Calming and soothing. Roll your tongue into a tube (or gently part the lips if you can’t roll) and inhale through it like a straw. Close the mouth and exhale through the nose. Great for stress, heat, and emotional overwhelm.
Ujjayi (Victorious Breath)
Focusing and grounding. Inhale and exhale through the nose while slightly constricting the back of the throat, creating an oceanic sound. It centers the mind and deepens presence, especially in movement practices.
Rejuvenating and spacious. Inhale in three parts, pausing briefly after each third. Exhale the same way. This brings awareness to the breath cycle and invites a deep sense of renewal.
Clarifying and harmonizing. A gentle version of Nadi Shodhana that balances the brain hemispheres and clears the mind. Inhale through one nostril, exhale through the other, using thumb and ring finger.
Healing and stabilizing. Sit with the left hand on the right knee and right hand on the left. Breathe slowly and evenly. This quiets the mind and balances energy.
Energizing and detoxifying. Short, sharp exhales through the nose with passive inhales. Increases energy, cleanses the lungs, and ignites inner fire. (Not recommended during pregnancy or for those with high blood pressure.)
Your life is your yoga studio.
My goal is for you to walk away with tools and practices that you can integrate into your daily life—especially the breath.
Meditation: The Soul’s Return
“The body born of flesh has the limitations of the flesh, whereas the soul, born of the Spirit, has potentially limitless powers.”
Through meditation, consciousness shifts from body to soul—from the temporal to the eternal. In stillness, we are no longer bound by form but reunited with Spirit. Meditation is how we commune with God, how we hear His voice, and how we allow the soul to rise beyond the noise of the world.
The 7 Chakras & The Power of Divine Completeness
In both Eastern and Biblical traditions, the number seven symbolizes wholeness, spiritual completion, and divine design. Just as the Book of Revelation speaks of the seven churches, seven spirits, and seven seals, we also have seven primary energy centers—called chakras—within the body that correspond to different stages of growth, consciousness, and spiritual maturity. Each chakra develops in seven-year cycles throughout our lives, influencing how we perceive the world, experience God, process emotion, and step into our divine purpose. Through Kundalini Yoga, sound healing, essential oils, and scripture meditation, my offerings support the awakening, balancing, and healing of these energy centers—so that you may live whole, aligned, and spiritually rooted.
The Kundalini Path
Kundalini energy lies dormant at the base of the spine. Through spiritual practice, breath, devotion, and meditation, this energy begins to rise. As it ascends through the Sushumna (the central energetic channel), it moves through the chakras or energy centers—purifying, awakening, and aligning the soul with divine purpose.
This sacred current flows from Muladhara (root) to Sahasrara (crown)—a vertical axis of spiritual awakening. As Kundalini rises, so does awareness, intuition, and connection to God. This is the soul’s path home.
We will explore all of this and much more in our practice together.
